Dear Homeschool Families,

My name is Nicole Porter, and I am excited about the opportunity to teach your homeschoolers this year. First, I want to share about my faith and Christian worldview. When I was eleven years old, I accepted Christ as my Lord and Savior. I realized that I had sinned against a holy God and that I needed His forgiveness. I followed the Lord through my adolescent years and on to Bible College. I received a Bachelor of Arts in Elementary Education and a minor in Bible. I believe that all education should be filtered through the truth of Godís Word. It is a privilege to teach students about the Creator through science and other subjects. The Bible is absolute truth and is the basis of my value system.

I have taught in Christian schools for over seven years. My classroom and one-on-one teaching experience has been from kindergarten through 11th grade. I have taught the following classes: science, health, biology, history, art, drama and physical education. My teaching style consists of a hands-on and creative approach. My desire is to give students a love for learning that will continue on with them for life.

Three years ago, my husband and I decided to homeschool our two daughters. It has been a joy to teach them and watch them learn. This last year, the Lord blessed me with the opportunity of teaching health, science, and history at my daughterís homeschool co-op. It has been a blessing to aid homeschool parents over the last year. I have enjoyed using my gifts to share about Godís world with students of all ages. I am looking forward to many more opportunities to teach and aid parents in education their children.

Sincerely,

Nicole Porter
